​The model container ship was built from a kit produced by Revell. The books onboard were scratch built and are mostly copied from real books I have around my home. The cardboard box that the kit came in was used as a component in another piece of work in the exhibition –‘The Risk Assessment’.

The completed model also had a previous life as a prop in a film within the commission ‘ Washed Up Car-Go’’. The film of it sinking is projected onto a copy of ‘Rime of the Ancient Mariner’.

The Pico projector and the books propping it up are from another work called ‘Seascape Escape’.
