The ambulance sticking out the side of the box is actually the switch that turns it on.

The light in the model shop is powered from the same source as the amplifier consequently it flickers as the voice gets louder.

(Film 1 min. 5 secs.) On top of the box is the ear piece for the hearing aid. The sound also comes out of here.  ​The recording is made onto a c90 cassette which is an hour and a half long. Its not a loop, the tape player plays both sides so I have to say the phrase over and over to fill up the tape.

When I visited the show I asked the invigilator what sort of response my work was getting from visitors. He said

"Everyone leaves with a smile on their face". Then he paused and said.
 "Apart from two people. Charles Saatchi and Nigela Lawson....they didn't find it funny at all."
